Now, I’m aware of the heated discussion taking place over at search engine land about the seo-quiz, but regardless of whether or not you agree with the answers you have to admire seomoz’s viral marketing chops! A quiz combined with a flattering badge and star wars reference, now that’s impossible to resist for your average web maven.

Needless to say I had to take it a couple of times until it gave me the answer I was looking for and I even learnt a thing or two - I’m looking at you yahoo!

I’ve just been dealing with a client who ordered an ADSL broadband connection through their business telecoms provider. This telephone company subcontracted the dsl connection to a partner who bought it from an aggregator who, in turn, bought it from BT. This wouldn’t be a problem if the thing worked. But it didn’t - so I ended up on the phone for an eternity trying to find someone at one of the FOUR!?! companies involved in this who could do something about it and give me a login and password that actually worked.
